Mavericks' Dwight Powell (Achilles) resumes jogging, light shooting, and agility work
Dallas Mavericks forward Dwight Powell, who had surgery on his right Achilles in January, is jogging on a treadmill, doing light shooting, and agility work.
Powell, who averaged 9.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists this season, is expected to be ready for the start of the 2020-21 season. Despite not being able to play, he is still expected to travel with the team to Orlando. Head coach Rick Carlisle said that Powell is "a guy whose enthusiasm is going to be unwavering no matter what. It's important that he be down there with us".
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Dallas Mavericks (+3800) have the 11th best odds to win the NBA Championship.
