Wilson Chandler refraining from Nets rest of season

Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Wilson Chandler has informed the team he is opting out of playing in Orlando when the season resumes.

What It Means:

"As difficult as it will be to not be with my teammates, the health and well-being of my family has to come first," Chandler said. "Thank you to the Nets organization for understanding and supporting me in this decision, and I will be watching and rooting for our team in Orlando." Taurean Prince will likely reclaim his starting spot after Chandler had stepped in for the final three games before the season was suspended. Chandler had the lowest usage rate (13.0 percent) on the team, but his 21.0 minutes per game figure to mostly be split between Prince, Joe Harris, Caris LeVert, and Rodions Kurucs. The Nets added Justin Anderson to take Chandler's place on the roster. Chandler, now 33, will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Nets are tied for the seventh-worst odds (+16000) to win the NBA Championship.
