Klay Thompson on track in his rehabilitation process
Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson is "right on track" with his rehabilitation process, according to head coach Steve Kerr.
"He looked great. He was moving well," Kerr said of Thompson." He's not playing 'live' yet, he hasn't done any contact stuff, but that's kind of the final step and there's obviously plenty of time for that." It's currently unknown when the 2020-21 season will begin due to the coronavirus-delayed 2019-20 season, which is scheduled to end sometime in early October. The Warriors are not one of the 22 teams in Orlando for the restart because of their poor record, so Thompson will have nothing but time to fully recover from his ACL tear.
In 78 games in the 2018-19 season, Thompson averaged 21.5 points per game on 46.7/40.2/81.6 shooting with 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
