Hornets' P.J. Washington focusing on handles, finishing
Charlotte Hornets power forward P.J. Washington said his primary offseason focus is ball-handling and playmaking.
Washington improved his scoring after the break, going from 11.7 to 14.6 points per game. The first-round pick has plenty of room to grow, as Washington dribbled on fewer than half of his shot attempts as a rookie. He also ranked 152nd in drives per game (4.0).
Washington was averaging 25.3 FanDuel points per game this season. He and Zion Williamson are the only two rookies to average at least 12.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in 2019-20.
