Magic's Jonathan Isaac's (knee) rehab reportedly going well

Orlando Magic power forward Jonathan Isaac's rehab from a left knee sprain and bone bruise "continues to go well," according to sources of team writer Josh Robbins of The Athletic.

What It Means:

The Magic currently hold a 5.5-game lead over the Washington Wizards for the 8th seed, but they are going to err on the side of caution with their budding star. With that in mind, despite the positive news, Robbins is "skeptical" that Isaac will be available when the league resumes play on July 31 in Orlando. Jeff Weltman, president of basketball operations, also indicated last week that Isaac probably won't be back on the court until next season. James Ennis should continue to see extended playing time with Isaac sidelined. Nikola Vucevic leads the Magic with a 25.8 percent usage rate.

Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Magic are tied for the worst odds (+25000) to win the NBA Championship. Isaac averaged 32.9 FanDuel points per game this season, tied for 61st in the league.
