Trae Young leads Hawks to victory in Denver with season-high 42 points
Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young scored 42 points (13-of-21 field goals, 8-of-13 3-pointers, 8-of-11 free throws) with 4 rebounds, 11 assists, 1 block, and 6 turnovers in 41.3 minutes of a 125-121 road win over the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.
The points are a season-high as Young notched the second 40-point game of his career. The made triples matched Young's personal-best and he's now recorded a 30-point double-double in three straight games. There doesn't appear to be any sophomore slump happening here. The Hawks will remain on the road Thursday against the Phoenix Suns.
Young scored 60.3 FanDuel points on Tuesday. numberFire's models project him for 23.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 9.3 assists, 1.1 steals, and 2.7 triples per contest over the rest of the season.
