Brandon Ingram checks all boxes in Pelicans' loss
New Orleans Pelicans small forward Brandon Ingram scored 22 points (8-of-19 field goals, 4-of-4 free throws) with 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks, 2 3-pointers, and 2 turnovers in 35.1 minutes of a 130-122 overtime loss to the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday.
Ingram paced the Pelicans in scoring and field goals and also contributed in every statistical category, something he only accomplished in six games last season. Zion Williamson (knee) is expected to miss at least the first six weeks, so Ingram should continue to thrive. The Pelicans play the Dallas Mavericks on Friday in their home opener.
Ingram scored 42.5 FanDuel points on Tuesday. numberFire's models project him for 17.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.6 blocks, and 0.7 triples per contest over the rest of the season.
