Pelicans' Anthony Davis (finger) to see a hand specialist, could miss 2-to-4 weeks
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Anthony Davis (finger) is set to see a hand specialist as the team fears he suffered a volar plate avulsion fracture in his left index finger, which would sideline him two-to-four weeks, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Davis has already been ruled out for this week with what the team believed was an index finger sprain. However, the injury appears to be much worse possibly. If the fears are confirmed, Davis could be out until after the All-Star Break. Jahlil Okafor is likely to stick in the starting lineup with Nikola Mirotic and Julius Randle picking up extra minutes and scoring responsibility.
Davis has averaged 29.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.7 steals, and 2.6 blocks for 61.2 FanDuel points per game this season.
