James Harden's season-high 58 points unable to lift Rockets over Nets
Houston Rockets guard/forward James Harden scored a season-high 58 points (16-of-34 field goals, 21-of-23 free throws) with 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 5 3-pointers, and 4 turnovers in 45.0 minutes of a 145-142 overtime loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.
Harden set a new season-high in scoring for the second straight game and his 115 combined points from the past two contests have all been unassisted. He went 5-for-19 from beyond the arc and the Rockets set the NBA record for most 3-point attempts in a game with 70. Harden also joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only players to ever score 55-plus in consecutive games. Houston hosts the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday.
Harden scored 81.0 FanDuel points in the loss. He's averaging 58.3 FanDuel points through 41 games this season.
