Tony Wroten (knee) to return for Sixers in 8-to-10 days
Philadelphia 76ers guard Tony Wroten (knee) is expected to return to the court within the next 8-to-10 days, according to head coach Brett Brown.
Wroten had hinted he would return for the matchup against the Detroit Pistons on December 11, so Brown's claims would concur with Wroten's implications. He's a speculative stash for now, and his return will cut into the value of Isaiah Canaan and T.J. McConnell.
Wroten was limited to 30 games last season after tearing his ACL. He had been showing progress prior to the injury, achieving career highs in offensive rating, Player Efficiency Rating and true shooting percentage. His usage rate was up to 30.5 percent, so he has value when healthy. Our most recent models projected him to average 27.9 minutes in 61 games for the rest of the season, with 13.1 points, 5.3 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals.
