Bulls not rushing Bobby Portis' (knee) return
Chicago Bulls forward/center Bobby Portis (knee) felt "okay" after participating in the non-contact portions of Tuesday's practice, head coach Fred Hoiberg said.
"They are still a ways away," Hoiberg said of Portis and Kris Dunn (knee). "We are not going to get too far ahead of ourselves with those guys, being injuries to their knees." Portis is approaching the 5-week mark of his 4-6 week timetable, but it sounds like that will be stretched out longer. Lauri Markkanen (elbow), meanwhile is expected back within the next week or so.
Portis averaged 28.8 FanDuel points over four games before going down, with 10.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 blocks per contest.
