Elfrid Payton (ankle) to remain out on Wednesday night for New Orleans

New Orleans Pelicans guard Elfrid Payton (ankle) will remain out on Wednesday night.

What It Means:

Payton was considered a game-time decision, but will ultimately be held out as the Pelicans target Friday for his return. Payton has missed over two weeks with an ankle injury. Jrue Holiday is expected to remain at the point with Wesley Johnson sticking in the starting five against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Payton has averaged 11.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.4 assists, and 29.0 FanDuel points per game this season.
