Spurs' imply LaMarcus Aldridge (ankle) will play Wednesday
San Antonio Spurs forward Boris Diaw implied that fellow forward LaMarcus Aldridge (ankle, questionable) will play Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks.
Aldridge has missed the last two games with an ankle injury, and the Spurs have slapped a questionable tag on him. However, Diaw said Aldridge will most likely be guarding Dirk Nowitzki on Wednesday. While this isn't an official confirmation on the status of Aldridge, it is a good sign he'll play. If he's able to suit up, look for David West to go back to the bench.
Aldridge is off to a solid start this season, posting a 4.2 nERD through 12 games played, which ranks 45th. He's averaging 15.3 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. If he's able to play against Dallas, we project him to score 18.9 points, grab 8.7 rebounds and dish out 2.1 assists.
