Spencer Ware ($6,100)

I wrote up Spencer Ware in my wild card values last week, and a lot of the reasons I liked him still hold true. But this week there's the added bonus that the Chiefs seem to have finally caught on to the fact that he's better than Charcandrick West. Ware played 38 snaps to only 18 for West against the Texans last week, and produced a 1.50 Rushing NEP versus a -2.33 from West. Ware had already proved himself far more efficient than West in the regular season, but was consistently seeing fewer snaps in games when they were both healthy, so last week's numbers are a great sign.

Our metrics have him as one of the most efficient backs in the league this season, and his 0.20 Rushing NEP per carry ranked second among the 72 backs to record at least 50 carries on the year.

There are only three defenses playing this week that rank outside the top-10 in schedule-adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play, and the Patriots' -0.03 is one of them, ranking 12th overall, and coming in as the second worst mark among the remaining playoff teams.

The Chiefs also have a 0.53 pass-run ratio inside the 10 yard line, which is the most run-heavy of the teams playing this week by a pretty sizable margin. Ware has been excellent on the goal line this year, with 6 touchdowns on 10 carries inside the 10, and while nobody in the Chiefs' offense has massive upside this week, Ware offers a lot of value.
