Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks

Over/Under: 51.0

Rams Implied Team Total: 30.50
Seahawks Implied Team Total: 20.50

Another week, another appearance by the Los Angeles Rams. While this game doesn't initially scream shootout, the Seattle Seahawks and Rams combined for 64 total points and 864 total yards when they clashed in Week 5. Again, the Rams are the rising tide that raises all offensive ships, while both teams will be hungry coming off tough losses.

Mike Davis, RB, Seattle Seahawks
FanDuel Price: $5,800

This is a pretty simple play. Chris Carson ($6,400) was considered a game-time decision with a hip injury, then left the game after playing just 10 snaps. He was ruled doubtful to return and never did. Pete Carroll is calling him "day-to-day" and he didn't practice Wednesday. In Carson's stead, Mike Davis led the team in carries (15), rushing yards (62), receptions (7) and receiving yards (45). As evidenced by the 32 carries when these teams last met (Davis managed 5.7 yards per carry on his 12 totes that game), Seattle's best shot at winning is controlling the clock and keeping the Rams explosive offense off the field. If Carson is indeed out, Davis is a lock at this price. If Carson plays, Davis becomes an intriguing GPP option, but neither can be used in cash.

Todd Gurley, RB, Los Angeles Rams
FanDuel Price: $10,800

Let's not overthink this. There is no player we'd prefer to bet on a bounce-back game off high ownership than Todd Gurley. Now he goes from playing on the road in negative game script to playing as a 10-point home favorite. And his price has dropped $400. Gurley had his second-best fantasy game of the season against Seattle in Week 5.

Cooper Kupp, WR, Los Angeles Rams
FanDuel Price: $6,500

Technically, I'm cheating and adding a third option. But the Gurley play is a given and Cooper Kupp deserves his own write-up. Kupp hung 5 catches for 89 yards and a touchdown in his first game back from an MCL injury, looking as spry as ever. And then his price dropped $300. I don't get it either. In season-long fantasy football leagues, Kupp is the per-game WR10 on the season, best on the Rams, yet is priced $1,000 below his fellow wide outs. Nothing about his price makes sense. Get in now before it's in the $7K range.

Others to Consider

Seattle is a bit banged up in the secondary, evidenced by safety Bradley McDougald and cornerback Neiko Thorpe missing Wednesday's practice. That elevates Jared Goff ($8,100) in a tough matchup. Goff's best games this year have mostly come when the other team keeps the game close. If you think Seattle is capable of doing that, then he's definitely an option as a 10-point home favorite attached to a high team total.

It's pretty much the same deal with Brandin Cooks ($7,700) and Robert Woods ($7,500) every week. Both are matchup-agnostic studs, with Cooks settling in as the higher-ceiling option while Woods maintains a slightly stronger floor. Cooks didn't play in the Week 5 when these teams met, while Woods had 5 catches for 92 yards. The Seahawks have allowed 4 different receivers to top 90 yards since Week 5.

Oddly, Russell Wilson ($7,700) just hasn't displayed a week-winning ceiling this year, never once surpassing 24 fantasy points in a game. This is clearly a byproduct of Seattle's run-game commitment as well as Russ confusingly running less frequently this year. Positively, in a game Seattle was trailing throughout, Wilson just set season highs in pass attempts (39) and rushing yards (41). If similar script holds true, he should crack the 20-point barrier. The real question remains whether he can recapture his 30-point ceiling from years past.

The Seattle receiving corps is tough to sort through, and it can feel fruitless when Jaron Brown and Nick Vannett catch touchdowns in the same week. Tyler Lockett ($6,200) is the preferred tournament option because he should see more of Marcus Peters on the perimeter. Peters has become this year's Shareece Wright in terms of finding a cornerback to target weekly. Doug Baldwin ($6,300) should see some of him too and looked all the way back last week, but he popped up with a groin injury on Wednesday. Ultimately, both are low-floor GPP options that make sense to stack with Russ.
