As mentioned, Atlanta gained the most ground this week after their 38-14 win over Washington.

The Falcons offense came out in full force, averaging 7.7 yards per play with a 52.1% success rate, while also turning in a 10-for-13 performance on third downs.

This kind of effort has hardly been rare for Atlanta, which is tied for fourth in the league in yards per play (6.5), fourth in points per drive (2.7) and fifth in opponent-adjusted NEP.

Struggles on defense have left Atlanta on the periphery of the playoff hunt, as the Falcons are 30th in both Defensive NEP and yards allowed per play (6.4).

They have a great offense but have allowed opponents to play like they have a great one of their own, and the end result has been that of an average team.
