Latavius Murray, RB, Minnesota Vikings

Yahoo Ownership: 48%

Latavius Murray has got to be wondering where it all went wrong. First, he puts up a 1,000-yard rushing season in 2015 and followed that with a 12-touchdown campaign in 2016 with the Oakland Raiders. That kind of production usually leads to a running back getting re-signed.

Instead, the Raiders opted to let Murray walk, and the Minnesota Vikings scooped him up in free agency. Having released Adrian Peterson after an injury-riddled 2016 season, the Vikings' backfield looked like Murray's for the taking. That is, until Dalvin Cook came along and took control of the backfield completely.

But when Cook tore his ACL in Week 4, the situation for Murray seemed ripe. Instead, Murray's been relegated to second-fiddle again, with freak athlete extraordinaire, Jerick McKinnon, taking over lead back duties after two straight monster games.

While Murray isn't completely useless -- he's averaging 13.5 carries per game in the last two weeks -- he's received five fewer rushing attempts than McKinnon while being out-gained by 104 rushing yards. Moreover, Murray's only gotten 3 targets in the air over the last two games compared to McKinnon's 12. .

At this point, Murray is unstartable and lacks upside. That's the very definition of the kind of player you don't want on your roster. Drop him and grab Orleans Darkwa, whose 117-yard effort against the Denver Broncos in Week 6 showed much promise.
