NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Friday 1/19/18
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
Here, we'll put all of that together and take a look at who you should target on today's slate.
Best of the Best
Andre Drummond ($10,300): The two areas Drummond dominates the most are on the boards and in the paint. His career-high 25.7% total rebound rate leads the NBA (something he's done in three of the last four seasons), and his true shooting percentage is up to .570, his best since the 2013-14 season. His 8.2 field goal attempts per game in the restricted area are the league's third-most, and they make up 77% of his overall field goal attempts. The Washington Wizards rank 19th in rebound rate and allow the 11th-highest field goal percentage to opponents in the restricted area (as well as above-average fantasy production to centers), making this a great matchup for Drummond.
