Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Monday 1/2/17

It's a heavy night of injuries as eight games line the slate, which means there should be a ton of value daily fantasy basketball tournaments.

It's one of the biggest nights of daily fantasy basketball of the season so far, with millions of guaranteed dollars on the line and several six-figure top prizes. That means having a handle on the injuries is crucial tonight, especially in what could be a night of several late-breaking bits of injury news.

Notable Injuries

New York Knicks

The New York Knicks could be playing without two of their best players tonight. Carmelo Anthony left Saturday's game with a knee injury and his status is unknown, while Kristaps Porzingis is not expected to play. If Anthony is out, Derrick Rose could be very busy, and Brandon Jennings might be a strong value again if Courtney Lee is out. Check and re-check for Knicks news tonight.

Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers

Kyrie Irving did not play Saturday, and there have been no updates on his status for Monday. Jordan McRae dropped 20 points in Saturday's game that Irving missed. McRae, LeBron James, and Kevin Love will benefit the most if Irving is out again on Monday.

George Hill, Utah Jazz

George Hill can't catch any breaks with injuries this season, as he has a concussion and has already been ruled out. Shelvin Mack will be very busy on offense, while Gordon Hayward and Rudy Gobert will be asked to do more on offense.

Evan Fournier, Orlando Magic

Evan Fournier is another dose of unknown on tonight's slate, as he has missed four straight games, and there has been no news as to whether or not he'll miss a fifth. If he's out, Jodie Meeks should continue to get a bump, as should Serge Ibaka.

Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards

Speaking of game-time decisions, Bradley Beal is officially a game-time decision for Monday against the Houston Rockets. The good news is Beal went through shootaround, but make sure you double-check his status before roster lock.

Patrick Beverley, Houston Rockets

Patrick Beverley has been banged up of late, and the Rockets are playing it safe with their point guard. He is questionable tonight, and if he's out, Eric Gordon could get some love while Corey Brewer might get another start.

Lesser Injuries

Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets might be without a couple of key role players tonight. Cody Zeller is in the league's concussion protocol and is out on Monday. We also haven't heard an updates on Marco Belinelli yet. If Belinelli is out, Jeremy Lamb is in play again, while Frank Kaminsky should get plenty of run with Zeller out.

Denver Nuggets

Kenneth Faried is questionable tonight, while Darrell Arthur has already been ruled out, so the Denver Nuggets might be pretty thin up front tonight. If Faried is out, Wilson Chandler might have to play more power forward, while Jusuf Nurkic might end up getting a few more minutes.

Golden State Warriors

Both JaVale McGee and Shaun Livingston are questionable tonight, and that could open up a small sliver of value for the Golden State Warriors. McGee's potential absence doesn't do a lot, but if Livingston is out, it could give some more minutes to Andre Iguodala.

Matthew Dellavedova, Milwaukee Bucks

Malcolm Brogdon has been playing out of his mind with Matthew Dellavedova out, and he may get another shot at it on Monday. Check back for an update on Dellavedova's status later in the evening.
