Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards take on the Los Angeles Lakers tonight, and no team on this slate is expected to see a larger scoring boost. Vegas sees Washington exceeding their season scoring average by nearly nine points, as their 117.5-point implied team total is the highest on tonight's beautiful eight-game slate, with their 225.5-point over/under the second-highest.

Beal has played much better in positive game scripts this season according to the RotoViz Game Splits App. He hasn't played in many with an implied team total this high, but he has averaged 39.6 FanDuel points in games with an implied team total of at least 114 points, as opposed to 32.2 in all other games. With an over/under of at least 220, he has averaged 35.5 FanDuel points.

Los Angeles ranks dead last in defensive efficiency and has allowed the fifth-highest three-point percentage, so it should come as no surprise that they have allowed the fifth-most FanDuel points per game to opposing shooting guards. The Lakers have also employed D'Angelo Russell as their starting shooting guard recently, which makes this matchup even juicier for Beal.

Russell has a defensive real plus-minus of -1.84, which would rank 82nd among qualified shooting guards.

The only concern facing Beal's outlook tonight is the 9.5-point spread, as Vegas sees the Wizards running away with this one. If Los Angeles can keep the game competitive, Beal could post a huge total, but the blowout risk makes him more of a tournament option on a slate loaded with shooting guards.
