Indians extend win streak to 22 games in walkoff fashion
The Cleveland Indians extended their American League record win streak to 22 games on a 10th-inning walk-off single by Jay Bruce.
The Indians went into the bottom of the ninth down 2-1 to the Kansas City Royals and needed a 2-out RBI double by Francisco Lindor to keep hope and the win streak alive. After a double to Jose Ramirez and a walk to Edwin Encarnacion in the bottom half of the 10th, Jay Bruce delivered a sharp single to right to keep the streak alive.
Before the game, our models gave the Indians a 64.7% chance to pull out the victory.
