Guardians' Jose Ramirez resting Sunday
The Cleveland Guardians did not list Jose Ramirez as a starter for Sunday's game against the Oakland Athletics.
What It Means:
Ramirez will take the afternoon off for rest. The Guardians will have Gabriel Arias cover third base while Andres Gimenez returns to the lineup at second base and bats second.
Ramirez is off to a mildly slow start, with just 3 home runs and a .655 OPS in his first 95 plate appearances. He has also stolen just a single base so far this season, but hopefully the star will start to return to form in the warmer months.
