Daniel Norris (oblique) plays catch Tuesday, ahead of schedule for Detroit
Detroit Tigers pitcher Daniel Norris (oblique) played catch Tuesday, and Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said the lefty is "actually a little ahead of schedule."
There had been some fear that Norris' strained oblique would end his season, but it's looking like there's a good chance he'll make it back for a couple starts.
Norris holds a 5.06 ERA over four starts since arriving with the Tigers via trade. He had shown improvements of late, cutting his xFIP to 4.26 over four starts as opposed to a 5.45 mark with the Blue Jays in April.
