Guardians trade for Jean Segura on Tuesday
The Cleveland Guardians have acquired third baseman Jean Segura on Tuesday.
What It Means:
Segura will join the Guardians after he was involved in a deal including Josh Bell and prospect Kahlil Watson. Expect the veteran to see time against left-handed pitching as a utility infielder.
Per Baseball Savant on 255 batted balls this season, Segura has recorded a 3.5% barrel rate and a .237 expected average.
