Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Jean Segura (hip) is out again Wednesday against the Miami Marlins.
What It Means:
Segura also sat out Sunday and Tuesday with a nagging hip issue. It's thought to be minor. Philip Gosselin will start at second base and bat leadoff for Arizona on Wednesday night against Marlins' ace Jose Fernandez.
Segura has started this season well, slashing .333/.362/.523 with four home runs, 15 RBI's, four stolen bases and a .382 wOBA in 116 plate appearances. Our models currently project him to cool off over the remaining course of the season, forecasting him to slash .262/.297/.352 with six home runs, 42 RBI's, 21 steals and a .284 wOBA the rest of the way.
