On a day where Madison Bumgarner and Noah Syndergaard figure to be highly owned, Kyle Hendricks makes for a nice pivot play. While the baseball universe is heaping praise on the Cubs, Hendricks’ superb start has flown a little under the radar. He is sporting a stellar 3.03 SIERA, 22.4% strikeout rate and 5.5% walk rate, providing Chicago with great production in the back of their rotation. Hendricks squares off with the San Francisco Giants today in a matchup at AT&T Park, a pitcher-friendly stadium that ranks last in home run factor, per ESPN’s Park Factors. Despite being just the 12th most expensive hurler, Hendricks is our sixth-ranked pitcher for the day.
