Christian Yelich, OF, Milwaukee Brewers

Price: $4,800

Christian Yelich is well on his way to showing us that his massive 2018 numbers were no fluke. After dropping career-high clips in both wOBA (.422) and ISO (.272) in 2018, he's actually improved on both of those numbers through 73 plate appearances this year, sporting a .433 wOBA and .311 ISO. That's coming on a 54.9% hard-hit rate and 35.3% fly-ball rate.

That fly-ball rate might not be sustainable as he notched just a 23.5% fly-ball rate last year, with his career-high mark at only 25.2%, but the hard contact is no surprise after he put up a 47.6% hard-hit rate last year.

Today he brings those numbers into a great matchup against St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Dakota Hudson.

Hudson has a great 2.79 ERA over his three games this year, but that comes with a 4.70 SIERA, which isn't too much better than his 5.01 SIERA from last season.

He's not likely to pitch too deep in this one, with no more than 4 2/3 innings in either of his two starts this year. That doesn't make the spot any worse for Yelich, though, as the Cards' relievers rank bottom-five in xFIP to start the year.
