Eric Thames, 1B, Milwaukee Brewers

Price: $3,600

Eric Thames has missed most of the season due to injury, but his five starts since returning to action include a monster two-homer, four RBI game last Sunday, leaving little doubt about his health moving forward.

Because of the injuries, we only have a small sample size to draw on from him in 2018. His production against right-handed pitchers, over 86 plate appearances, has been excellent. He has a .386 wOBA and massive .387 ISO, which come on a ridiculous 49.0% hard-hit and 52.9% fly-ball rate.

Going back to include 2017, therefore increasing our sample to 526 plate appearances, his wOBA stays consistent at .389, and his ISO is still very high at .303, with a 44.5% hard-hit rate and 44.0% fly-ball rate versus righties. So his success this year doesn't seem to be any sort of a fluke.

He's in a good spot to continue crushing today against St. Louis Cardinals righty Carlos Martinez. Despite a stellar 2.73 ERA, Martinez doesn't have especially promising numbers this year. His 4.79 SIERA is, by far, a career-worst, and he's having serious control issues with a 14.4% walk rate. He's also allowing a career-high 33.7% hard-hit rate, which gives Thames a great chance to show off his power.
