3 Under-the-Radar MLB FanDuel Plays for 6/21/18

Bryce Harper failed in yet another cushy spot last night, dropping his fourth goose egg in the last five games. Despite his low salary, he was only owned in just 12% of Wednesday's lineups, and people are probably beginning to grow weary of his June slump.

Even on a night with some limited hitting spots, and Harper moving up to leadoff, he figures to remain lower-owned, holding a miserable .193 wOBA, 34.3% strikeout rate, and 27.0% hard-hit rate this month. Those are horrendous numbers for sure, but keep in mind that he still holds a 42.7% hard-hit rate and .402 xwOBA against right-handers this year.

Kevin Gausman isn't a total cupcake matchup, but he's an inconsistent hurler who often struggles with the long-ball. He gave up 29 dingers in 2017 and is allowing a 17.9% home-run-to-fly-ball rate this season. As we stated in this space yesterday, Harper could turn this thing around at a moment's notice, and you could benefit greatly if you're on him when everyone else is not.
