Arizona Diamondbacks leadoff man, David Peralta, tends to stay in the linenup against southpaws, so he should be in there against Kyle Freeland tonight. However, despite a 5.16 implied team total, he's probably better off skipped.

Although he has a 4.84 SIERA, Freeland is notably tougher against his fellow lefties, showing a 28.4% strikeout rate and 3.49 xFIP against them over 35 1/3 innings. It's a small sample size, but even if he's not quite this good against them, it's enough to consider shying away.

Futhermore, Peralta himself hasn't shown much against same-side hurlers this season, garnering just a 22.3% hard-hit rate and 58.5% ground-ball rate.
