I wouldn't make that trade, especially non-PPR. Gio loses a ton of his value in that format, and IMO isn't a big upgrade from what you have. I wouldn't be surprised if either Vereen or Hill become a viable starter for you. No need to feel desperate for RBs. This is a good team.

To answer your question at face value, no, I would not give up a potential top-3 fantasy receiver for Gio and Crabtree and especially not for Gio and Patterson.

Honestly, I'd see if you could trade Stafford or - dare I say it - Graham. In a ten team league, you can easily stream either or both of those positions. Trading Graham could net you a top tier RB (I wouldn't settle for just anyone) and you would still be able to hold onto Dez.
