Hell yeah, this is a great trade. Dez is a gigantic upgrade, and Gore is a marginal (if that) downgrade.

PPR or standard?

If it's PPR...no, I wouldn't give up Brown to "upgrade" to Dez (yes, I think it's only a marginal upgrade if you're getting 1 point per catch), because I don't think going from Gerhart to Gore helps you much at all either. I actually like Gerhart more than Gore this season, both week-to-week, and in end-of-season scoring.

If this is in standard scoring, then I think it becomes a trade worth making, as Dez is more clearly an upgrade over Brown.
