Trade Recovery

So I joined an 8 team league with guys mostly new to fantasy, and NFL in general, and one of them promptly got trade raped by about the only other person who has played fantasy before - Alshon + Pierce for Hilton + Hopkins. The guy already had a bad team after the draft, but now its brutal.

The guys team is now
Manning
Lynch, Mathews
Nelson, ???
Witten
Ben Tate
Gostkowski
Seattle

Bench: McFadden, Sproles, Brady, Bowe, Hilton, Wayne, Hopkins, Pitta

That bench is so rough, I don't think I would want any of them on my team and there is still a WR2 slot to fill.

I'd like to help out, but also maybe try to help myself a little to. I was thinking of offering something like Jordy for VJax, Michael Floyd and Maclin / Terrance West / FJax. I think that would help him out - or am I just making it worse?

If I made the trade I'd would be left with only Roddy as a backup WR (also have Marshall starting)

There is no charity in FF. Helping him out and yourself too is confusing me. I think that's called a fair trade
