QB to pick up off the free agent wire
We play a 2 QB league and basically every QB is taken. Sometimes taking an additional one off the wire is done simply to make it harder on other players to have a bye week fill in, injury replacement, etc. Right now the only starter on our wire is Shaun Hill, probably just because no one has thought of him. I have a high upside bench and cannot really get rid of anyone except Geno Smith. So whom would you pick to keep on the bench and out of opponents hands, Geno or Hill?

1Danny B (396 Reputation Points)I'd keep Smith. I keep hearing analysts say he's better this year and looks good so far. Hill may not be the clear cut starter in STL if the Rams go get someone else anyway. Vick is a viable option behind Smith, but given how quickly Geno was named the starter this preseason, I don't think he'll be pulled in favor of Vick. Geno is more likely to be the starter by mid season.

0Zach Brunner (399 Reputation Points)Definitely keep Geno, he is a lot better than people give him credit. He had five games last year with over 20 fantasy points, and one with 19.9. That's more than Luck, Romo, Wilson, and Newton. He did this with probably the worst receiving core in the league! He definitely should be better this year, and offers some pretty good upside. I don't think a QB like Hill can break out, so take the chance on Geno!

0Sam Hauss (371 Reputation Points)Depends on what you need. Hill will be much more consistent and will work as a bye week fill in, but you won't want to start him more than once or twice in the year. Geno is a high upside guy who could be a top 5 QB given a great matchup. Hill doesn't have that kind of upside. I would probably go with Geno if he is your QB3. I think he hast the potential for more trade value down the line.
