Broncos claim Justin Forsett off waivers from Lions
The Denver Broncos claimed running back Justin Forsett off waivers from the Detroit Lions.
The move became necessary insurance when Kapri Bibbs suffered a high ankle sprain. It's not out of the question that Forsett assumes a legitimate role in the backfield. Devontae Booker has struggled in five straight games (2.80 YPC), while Forsett played the best year of his career with Kubiak coordinating the Baltimore Ravens' 2014 offense.
Forsett has 44 carries in the 2016 season, earning -0.18 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per attempt on those carries. Booker has earned -0.10 Rushing NEP per attempt on 128 carries.
