Dez Bryant (knee) officially out for Cowboys Sunday
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant (knee) is out for Week 4 against the San Francisco 49ers.
It seems like if this were the postseason, Bryant would be able to play. He received positive feedback from Dr. James Andrews on Thursday, but the Cowboys are still opting to sit Bryant in Week 4. Cole Beasley should see the biggest uptick in targets while Brice Butler also plays a larger role. Bryant should be considered week-to-week but appears to be in decent position to return next Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Bryant has had a slow start to the season, and ranks second on the Cowboys -- behind Beasley -- in both Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) and Reception NEP per target.
