Packers claim no long-term concerns for Jordy Nelson
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson's (active/PUP) knee is causing no long-term concerns, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.
Nelson's surprising designation on the active/PUP list prior to camp is likely the result of the Packers opting to err on the side of caution. It's been almost a full year since he tore his ACL and the 31-year-old can be removed from the list at any time.
Our algorithms project Nelson to pick up right where he left off in Green Bay's offense. We peg him as our fifth-best fantasy wide receiver going into training camp, with a line of 98 receptions for 1,372 yards and 6.76 touchdowns.
