Panthers release tight end Hayden Hurst on Tuesday
The Carolina Panthers have released tight end Hayden Hurst on Tuesday.
While today's move will cost Carolina $9.8 million in cap space, the Panthers have decided to let go of Hurst after one season. Expect the 30-year old to try and find a backup role if he decides to play next season.
On 30 targets in 2023, Hurst ranked 68th among his position with a 44.7 Pro Football Focus rating while accounting for 18 receptions for 184 yards and one touchdown.
