Alfred Blue ($5,800)

While I couldn't get behind the "pick Alfred Blue in redraft" movement that seemed to accompany Arian Foster's injury, Blue does offer undeniable value in DFS this week.

The 24-year-old back was grossly inefficient last year, with a -0.12 Rushing NEP per carry that ranked only 61st among the 73 backs to see 50 or more carries. With the starting job, though, as well as a plus-matchup and low salary, he offers a lot of value for Week 1.

The Chiefs ranked 24th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play in 2014, and there's a chance that they're without defensive tackle Dontari Poe in this game, who ProFootballFocus ranked as their second best defender against the run last year.

With a 0.93 pass-to-run ratio, the Texans were the most run-heavy team in the league in 2014, and the fact that they're starting Brian Hoyer at quarterback seems to indicate things will stay that way. Blue's in for a big workload this week, and against the Chiefs' defense, you're going to get a lot of value for his $5,800 salary.
