Kirk Cousins, Washington Redskins

Baby-faced and fresh, Kirk Cousins steps into the starring role of what has the potential to be a very potent offense. People like the shiny new toy, but do the stars line up for a fantasy match between your team and him? I'm guessing not. It's not that Cousins has performed poorly. On only 35 drop backs so far this season, he's become our seventh-best quarterback by Total Net Expected Points (NEP). Jay Gruden had a quarterback with a similar profile to Cousins in Andy Dalton in Cincinnati, but lacking a big safety valve like Jordan Reed and a deep threat to stretch the field like DeSean Jackson, I don't see Cousins as a very high-value option.

He also gets to face division rival Philadelphia, who - while not an elite defense by any means - has held its own against a dangerous Colts passing attack headed by Andrew Luck. The Eagles rank 12th in the league in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP, and I could see them forcing mistakes out of Cousins.

For a higher-upside option, look to Jay Cutler, who is taking on the decimated New York Jets secondary this week.
