NFC Division Winners With a Bye

#2 Seed: Seattle Seahawks
Chance to make the Playoffs: 67%
Chance to win the Super Bowl: 10.8%

The "Legion of Boom" could create a lot of havoc yet again this season. Pete Carroll has quietly built one of the strongest teams in recent memory on each side of the ball, and showcased their successful formula on the biggest stage last year so everyone will be watching more closely this year. Can the defense keep up their pace? Will offenses be able to figure out how to find space to score? Will Marshawn Lynch be an early-season distraction? Super Bowl winners haven't had the best track record in recent years, but the numbers think the Seahawks will buck the trend.

#1 Seed: New Orleans Saints
Chance to make the Playoffs: 68.9%
Chance to win the Super Bowl: 9.2%

The best offense in the NFC, according to our metrics, should be able to gain the number one seed this year. History is on their side, as their division hasn't had a back to back winner since it was formed in 2002. While Drew Brees lost some older receivers, younger ones will have all the opportunities to shine. With Jimmy Graham leading the way, the Saints will be tough to stop offensively. Throw in an improving defense, and that equals one of the biggest Super Bowl contenders.
