3 Daily Fantasy Football Players to Avoid in Week 17
Baker Mayfield, QB, Cleveland Browns
FanDuel Price: $7,300

It's been one heck of a rookie season for Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns, who will try and record their first winning season since 2007. But they will have a tall order this week against a very stout Baltimore Ravens defense.
Make no bones about it, Baker has been brilliant over recent weeks. In his last six games, the quarterback is averaging 0.32 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back over 179 drop backs. That's come with 14 touchdown passes against only four interceptions.
However, the Ravens possess one of two passing defenses in the league that have an Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play below 0 (negative is good for defensive measures) -- and they sport a league best mark of -0.06 per drop back. In fact, check out the last six quarterbacks to face the Ravens, who have averaged only 209.5 passing yards per game:
Player | Pass Yards | Touchdowns | Interceptions |
---|---|---|---|
Philip Rivers | 187 | 0 | 2 |
Jameis Winston | 157 | 0 | 1 |
Patrick Mahomes | 377 | 2 | 1 |
Matt Ryan | 131 | 1 | 0 |
Derek Carr | 194 | 1 | 0 |
Andy Dalton | 211 | 2 | 0 |
Total | 1257 | 6 | 4 |
It's been a great run for Mayfield, but with the Ravens season on the line, this could be a tough spot for the rookie.
