James Harden, SG, Houston Rockets

Price: $11,400

Paying up for the most expensive player on the slate when he's against a team that allows the league's fewest fantasy points per minute to his position may not seem great on the surface. Calling James Harden a shooting guard doesn't quite capture his role though.

Even with Chris Paul on the floor, Harden runs this offense. He's got a team-high 33.7% usage rate (compared to Paul's 24.1%), as well as a 29.7% assist rate that doesn't trail too far behind Paul's 38.3% with Paul on the floor. And then once Paul is off the floor, Harden is a full-blown point guard, with a 55.2% assist rate and 41.2% usage rate.

This is important to note because, while incredibly stout against the two-guard spot, the Utah Jazz allow the league's eighth-most (and this slate's second-most) fantasy points per minute at the one.

Harden has also shown a tremendous fantasy floor this season, with no fewer than 40 FanDuel points in any of his 20 games this season. You're not going to be thrilled if he only puts up 40, but that's also not a guarantee to sink your lineup. That high floor also doesn't mean that his upside isn't outstanding as well -- and he has 3 games with at least 70 FanDuel points in his last 8 contests. Only two other players have three or more such games on the entire season.
