DeMarcus Cousins, C, New Orleans Pelicans

Price: $12,000

Anthony Davis (hip) remains questionable for tonight. If he does return and play full minutes, DeMarcus Cousins is still a fine play at this price point, but Boogie's real appeal comes from the upside he has if Davis sits or is limited in any way.

Without Davis, Cousins' fantasy value is pretty much unparalleled. He's averaging 66.6 FanDuel points in 37.4 minutes per game in this situation, and if we expand the sample to look at all of the minutes he has played with and without Davis, we see significant jumps in usage rate (30.1% to 37.4%), rebound rate (18.4% to 22.0%), and FanDuel points per minute (1.34 to 1.66).

The Sacramento Kings are a soft fantasy matchup for centers, ranking 29th in both defensive rating and rebound rate while allowing top-three fantasy production to the position.

I'm not generally one to buy into a "revenge game" narrative, but if there's any player in the league I'd expect it to hold true for, it would be Cousins. He lent some credence to that idea in his first game against Sacramento since being traded, going off for 79.6 FanDuel points (with 41 points and 23 rebounds). Whether that had something to do with revenge or was simply a sign of how good of a matchup the Kings represent, Boogie is a threat to do serious damage tonight whether Davis suits up or not.
