Erick Fedde (right shoulder) placed on Nationals' disabled list
Washington Nationals starting pitcher Erick Fedde has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right shoulder injury.
Fedde was pulled from Wednesday's start against the Boston Red Sox right after allowing a leadoff single to Rafael Devers in the top of the second inning. An MRI taken Wednesday revealed no structural damage but the 25-year-old right-hander is still dealing with some inflammation. The Nationals called up right-hander Jefry Rodriguez from Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding roster move.
Fedde is averaging 16.2 FanDuel points per game this season. He owns a 1-3 record in six starts while recording a 5.79 ERA and 1.64 WHIP with 19 strikeouts and 9 walks across 28 innings.
