Yankees' Gary Sanchez (groin) expected to miss 3-4 weeks
New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez (groin) was officially placed on the 10-day DL, and is expected to miss the next 3-4 weeks.
Sanchez is dealing with a less severe Grade 1 groin strain, which is good news, but he could still miss up to a month of action. Austin Romine will presumably get most of the starts behind the plate while Sanchez is out.
In 2018, Sanchez is batting .190/.291/.433 with 36 runs, 14 home runs, and 41 RBIs over 265 plate appearances.
