Austin Romine starting for Yankees in Monday's series opener

New York Yankees catcher Austin Romine is starting on Monday against the Philadelphia Phillies.

What It Means:

Gary Sanchez was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday with a right groin strain and a timetable hasn't been given for his return, so Romine figures to work as the Yankees' primary backstop in the meantime. He will catch right-hander Jonathan Loaisiga and bat eighth versus Phillies righty Vince Velasquez in Monday's series opener.

numberFire's models project Romine to score 9.3 FanDuel points at a cost of $2,500 on Monday.
