Brett Gardner gets rest day for Yankees on Thursday
New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner is not in the starting lineup on Thursday.
What It Means:
Gardner is just getting a rest here. Tyler Austin will play designated hitter, and the rest of the defense will shuffle to fill Gardner's void in the field.
Our models project Gardner to hit .268 with 10 home runs, 56 runs, 39 RBI, and 13 stolen bases in 381 more plate appearances in 2018.
