Liam Hendriks dominant in relief for Toronto
Toronto Blue Jays reliever Liam Hendriks did a masterful job cleaning up R.A. Dickey's mess in Game 4 against the Kansas City Royals.
After Dickey allowed 5 runs in 1 2/3 innings, Hendriks quiets the Royals' bats. He allowed just 1 hit over 4 1/3 innings, fanning 2 and walking none.
While Hendriks' effort didn't matter much in this game -- a 14-2 romp by Kansas City -- it prevented the Blue Jays from having to use a lot of arms to get through the game. Toronto will need all hands on deck if it's going to overcome a 3-1 hole.
