Astros' Jake Marisnick starts in center for ailing Gomez
The Houston Astros' Jake Marisnick will start in center field and bat ninth in place of Garlos Gomez for Game 1 of the ALDS.
Marisnick doesn't offer much from the plate, but with Gomez needing some rest the Astros are going to have to make due.
Marisnick has improved each year in the majors, posting his highest ever wOBA this year (.288), but he still struggles from the plate. He's hitting .236/.281/.383 on the season, and his wOBA is the second-worst among Astros hitters with at least 100 plate appearances.
